Pallay Punchu means (Andean fabric of a poncho) that is why it is named for its geographical formation very much to the Andean fabric called (Andean poncho) that protects from the cold.
Discover the new rainbow mountain in Cusco, just a few hours from of Cusco. In the middle of a practically new tourist circuit is one of the most impressive natural wonders of America.
It is located in the Andes of Peru, in the Cusco region and in the province of Canas, at (4790m / 15715ft) meters above sea level, in an area belonging to the Layo district this beautiful mountain is known as’ Pallay Punchu of Apu Tacllo. This beautiful tour also gives you breathtaking views of colorful landscapes and you can also see a beautiful sky blue lake.
The trip starts picking-you-up from your accommodation at 04:30 AM. Then we get to Cusipata town, place where we´ll have a delicious breakfast. After meal we continue by car for about 3 hours to the towns of Langui and Layo. From this part we´ll start the walk, during the journey we´ll enjoy of the landscapes surrounded by llamas and alpacas and many regional communities. we will continue walking to the Pallay Punchu mountain of Apu Tacllo, a distance of 3 kilometers long that requires approximately 4 hours of walking. We will reach a height of (4700m / 15,419ft) where we will have the complete view of the wonderful Pallay Punchu of Apu Tacllo.
After having finished exploring this beautiful place we will return to our bus, and we will go to the Province of Sicuani to have a delicious lunch. After finishing lunch we will return to Cusco.
